Abstract
This study aims to answer the question mentioned in the problem of the study: to
investigate senior high school students‟ perception on the use of U-Dictionary in
learning pronunciation. The researcher used a qualitative descriptive methods
research design in order to know the students‟ perception in year X at SMA
Negeri 7 Binjai by sharing 14 questions in the questionnaires to 25 students and
conducting interviews to 5 students. The finding of this research showed that
almost all participants said they were excited when they were taught English using
the U-Dictionary application. They liked using U-Dictionary as a teaching tool.
On average, they agreed that studying with U-Dictionary was a lot of fun. In
general, they felt satisfied with the experience of learning English pronunciation
by using U-Dictionary. The result showed that using U-Dictionary positively
impacts the students after considering the results and discussion.
