PENGARUH STATUS SOSIAL EKONOMI ORANG TUA DAN LINGKUNGAN BELAJAR TERHADAP PRESTASI BELAJAR MAHASISWA PRODI PENDIDIKAN TATA NIAGA ANGKATAN 2016 FAKULTAS EKONOMI UNIMED

This study aims to determine the influence of socioeconomic status of parents and the learning environment on student achievement.
This research was conducted at Prodi Pendidikan Tata Niaga Faculty of Economics, State University of Medan. This research type is expost facto with technique of sampling using random sampling technique or randomly that is from 103 student which become sample that is as much 52 people. Instrument of data collection in this research is observation, documentation, and questionnaire or questionnaire. Test of research instrument using validity and reliability test done by using SPSS Software Application version 24. Analaisis data technique used among others: normality test, linearity test, multiple linear analysis, coefficient of determination and hypothesis test that is: t test and F test done using SPSS software version 24.
The result of multiple linear regression calculation is Y = 2,731 + 0,119X1 + 0,104X2. While the result of t-test shows that partially socio-economic status of student's parents has a positive and positive influence on student achievement with tcount>ttable(2,875 >2,009) at 95% significance level or α = 0,05, learning environment has influence positive and significant to student achievement with tcount>ttable(2,418>2,009) at significant level 95% or α = 0,05. The result of F test shows that the socioeconomic status of the parents and the learning environment has a positive and significant influence on student achievement with Fcount>Ftable (7,154 > 3,18) at significance level α 0,002<0,05).
The results of this study indicate that the hypothesis accepted that there is a positive and significant influence socioeconomic status of parents and the learning environment on student achievement both partially and simultaneously.
