Abstract

This research concerned on 1be Effect of Dictogloss rechnique on Grade XStudents Achievement in Writing Recount Text This study used the experimental design. The population of the study was the stUdents of SMA Negeri I Sei Bamban. There were seventy students from thtee classes as the sample of the research. This study was conducted with two groups namely experimental and control group. The experimental group was taught by applying dictog1oss technique while control group was taught with traditional dictation. The instrument of collecting the data was writing test which only consist of one item. The calculation shows that t-observed (6.231) is higher than t-table (1.994) at the level of significance (a) 0.05 with the degree of freedom (df) 70. Therefore, the null hypothesis is rejected and alternative hypothesis is accepted. It means that teaching writing by applying dictogloss technique has more significant effects than without using dictogloss.
