Abstract

Akar masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah kenyataan bahwa guru cenderung belum menggunakan Media Pembelajaran berbasis Multimedia Interaktif, sumber belajar hanya berasal dari buku teks, dan banyaknya Media Pembelajaran yang praktis dan siap pakai, tetapi tidak sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa sehingga kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa masih rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan Media Pembelajaran yang valid, efektif, dan praktis. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan model Borg and Gall. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI MAN 2 Model Medan. Sedangkan objek dalam penelitian ini adalah Media Pembelajaran berbasis Multimedia Interaktif. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri dari lembar validasi Media Pembelajaran, lembar validasi tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep, tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep angket kepraktisan Media Pembelajaran, angket Self Confidance dan angket respon siswa. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) validasi ahli materi, bahasa, dan media pembelajaran menyatakan bahwa Media Pembelajaran yang dikembangkan layak dengan kategori sangat valid; dan (2) berdasarkan uji coba I dan II, Media Pembelajaran dapat dinyatakan efektif. Hal tersebut berdasarkan: (i) persentase ketuntasan klasikal meningkat yaitu 87,88 %, dari 33 siswa yang mengikuti tes; (ii) ketercapaian tujuan pembelajaran tercapai; (iii) respon siswa positif; dan (iv) presentase waktu belajar efektif. Besarnya persentase peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa adalah 34,62% berada pada kategori sedang. Self confidance siswa mengalami peningkatan setelah diajar menggunakan media pembelajaran yakni sebesar 86,25 dengan kategori tinggi.
