Abstract
This research examined the use of @englishfess_ X (Twitter) auto-base account towards grade XI students’ vocabulary achievement. This research aimed to find the vocabulary size of grade XI students who followed and actively used
@englishfess_ auto-base account. The data were collected from questionnaire and vocabulary size test. This research findings found that (1) students agree the @englishfess_ auto-base account was helped them improved their vocabularies (96%), students actively participated in the menfess of @englishfess_ auto-base account (94%), students used additional resources other than @englishfess_
auto-base account to improve their vocabulary (80%), (2) students’ average score of vocabulary size test was 7160 out of 14000, means exceeded the expected score 6000, and (3) the vocabulary size of average students was mid-frequency size in range 3000-9000 word families.
