Abstract
The objective of this study was to develop students’ worksheets for listening
comprehension of descriptive text through Kahoot at seventh grade students in
SMPN 1 Pinangsori. This study was categorized as Research and Development
(R&D) methods that consisting of 6 steps, namely collecting data and information,
conducting needs analysis, developing preliminary products, validating with
experts, revising, and producing the final products. The subjects in this study were
thirty-two seventh graders of SMPN 1 Pinangsori. Students’ needs analysis
questionnaire and the interview with an English teacher in the classroom are used
to obtain results and gather information. And the results showed that the students’
worksheets for listening comprehension of descriptive text in the seventh grade
students developed through Kahoot were feasible and appropriate. This can be
known from the results of experts’ validation which produces an average final value
of 86.12 percent which is considered very valid based on 5 aspects of assessment,
namely linguistic, process, product and content, layout, and technological.
