Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh penggunaan media vlog (video
blogging) terhadap keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi siswa kelas VII SMPS Gajah
Mada T.A 2021/2022. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMPS
Gajah Mada Medan T.A 2021/2022 yang teerdiri dari satu kelas dengan jumlah siswa
28 orang. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 28 orang. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian
eksperimen dengan desain one ground pre-test-post design. Dari pengolahan data
diperoleh hasil pretest dengan rata-rata = 59.56, standar deviasi=15,22. Sedangkan
hasil post-test dengan rata-rata 79,72, standar deviasi=12,55. Dari uji data dari hasil
pretest dan post-test didapat hasil berdistribusi normal. Dari uji homogenitas didapat
bahwa sampel penelitian ini berasal dari yang homogen . Dari uji normalitas dan
homogenitas diketahui , dikonsultasikan dengan tabel 1 taraf signifikan 5% dengan
df =N-1= 25-1=24 diperoleh taraf nilai terkecil 5% =1,71, dikarenakan lebih besar
dari Ttabel yaitu 5,01 > 1,71, maka hipotesis penelitian diterima. Dengan demikian
dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh positif penggunaan media vlog (video
blogging) terhadap keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi siswa kelas VII SMPS Gajah
Mada Medan Tahun Ajaran 2021/2022. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa media vlog
(video blogging) berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi.
