Abstract

The study is about Developing Teaching Media through VYOND as TPACK in
Teaching Writing Descriptive Text. This research aimed at knowing how to
develop Teaching Media through VYOND as TPACK in Teaching Writing
Descriptive Text for Ninth Grade Students of SMP N 1 Percut Sei Tuan. The
research methodology utilized the Research and Development (R&D) approach
proposed by Borg & Gall (2014), consisting of six stages: gathering information
and data, analyzing the data, designing the product, validating the product,
revising the product, and final Product. The study involved 30 ninth-grade
students from SMP N 1 Percut Sei Tuan. Data collection tools included teacher
interviews, student questionnaires, and validation checklists from experts. The
product underwent validation by an English lecturer and an English teacher,
achieving a validation rate of 90%. It was classified as "Excellent" teaching media
for teaching writing descriptive text. The product outcome was a presentation
delivered through audio-visual media, intended to enhance the teaching of
descriptive text writing skills.
