Abstract
The problem in this study is that teachers only use pictures as learning media and teachers have never used technology-based media that were developed by themselves using the Powtoon application. Simple and less varied media causes a lack of interest and low student learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the feasibility, practicality and effectiveness of powtoon audiovisual learning media with natural science content material on the life cycle of animals in class IV students at SDN 101767 Tembung Kec. Percut Sei Tuan T.A 2022/2023. This research is a development research that uses the ADDIE model which consists of 5 stages, namely the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The subjects in this study were 20 grade IV students at SDN 101767 Tembung. The research results obtained show the following results: (1) The feasibility test obtains the criteria of "Very Eligible" with details of the material expert validator's assessment obtaining a score of 92% and the assessment of the media expert validator obtaining a score of 79% in the "Eligible" category. (2) The practicality test by the teacher gets a score of 86.66% in the "Very Practical" category. The student effectiveness test has increased and completed with an average score of 47.55 to 84.75. Based on the findings of the research results, it is suggested for educators to be able to develop powtoon-based learning media in order to create effective learning.
