Abstract
Mathematics is a universal science that serves as the foundation for the development of modern technology, has a crucial role in various scientific fields, and accelerates human thought. The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is an effect of the Wingeom Software Assisted Think Pair Share Model on the Mathematical Communication Ability of Students of SMP Negeri 35 Medan. To achieve the purpose, the researcher conducted Quantitative research method. The population in this study were all class VII students of SMP Negeri 35 Medan. The sample class was selected by random sampling. The sample class, namely class VII-4 as the experimental class, is taught using the Wingeom-assisted Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model, while class VII-5, which is called the control class, is taught using the conventional learning model (direct learning model). The result of the study by looking at the Fcount and posttest, so that the mathematical communication ability is Fcount = 161.771 > Ftable = 2.68, Ha : �1 ≠ �2 is accepted. By showing the posttest value of mathematical communication abilities on average 80.31 > 69.38. It was concluded that there was a significant difference between the Think Pair Share learning model assisted by Wingeom software on students' mathematical communication ability in SMP Negeri 35 Medan. Then the formulation of the problems and hypotheses proposed as well as the research results based on data analysis and hypothesis testing, the conclusions obtained in this study are that there is an effect of the Think Pair Share learning model assisted by Wingeom software on student’s mathematical communication ability in SMP Negeri 35 Medan
