THE EFFECT OF GOOGLE MEET IMPLEMENTATION FOR TROPICAL ECOLOGY SUBJECT ON BIOLOGY STUDENTS LEARNING ACHIEVMENT IN 2020/2021 ACADEMIC YEAR

Learning is a process that lasts for a long time through training and experience that leads to self-change and changes in how to react to a certain stimulus..Tropical ecology is the study of the relationship between the biotic and abiotic components of tropical areas, or tropical climates experiencing hot, humid and rainy weather throughout the year. The design used in this study was the Pre-Experiment Design,
namely by using one-group pretest-posttest as the research design. In this study, the experimental class will be given a pre-test before treatment. The pretest is used to determine students'' initial abilities before learning begins, while the posttest is given at the end of learning after the treatment. This the results of the treatment can be
accurate, because it can be compared with the conditions before being given treatment. There is a significant effect of the application of the Edmodo application on the learning outcomes of Unimed biology education students. Based on the
calculation of the learning outcomes that have been carried out, the value of tcount > ttable is obtained4.484 > 1.67109with sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05. So it can be
concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. This is also supported by the calculated value of the N-Gain score 37.3606or 37%, included in the high interpretation criteria. There are several obstacles that occur in the learning process,
namely: Internet network, RAM in student smartphones, students open other applications when learning using Google meet in class
