Abstract

This study aims to find out needs analysis, validation, and practitioners' appraisal of kits learning media integrated with religious values on chemical bonding topic. The research was conducted at MAN 1 Medan from January to March, involving 36 science students and 20 chemistry teachers in North Sumatra. The development of learning media uses the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), but in this study it only reached the develop stage. Data was collected using needs analysis questionnaires, validation questionnaires by expert validator of topics and expert validator of media, and practitioners’ appraisal questionnaire which was distributed online via the Google form. The questionnaires used a Likert scale, each answer was given a scale of 1-5 with a maximum value of 5 and a minimum value of 1. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that 100% of teachers and 91.7% of students needed kits learning media integrated with religious values in the chemistry learning process. The validation of kits learning media integrated with religious values through three aspects, namely topic validation obtains a score of 88.33% (very valid), religious values validation obtains a score of 90.67% (very valid), and media validation obtains a score of 86.33% (very valid), the overall score is 88.44% which shows that the kits learning media integrated with religious values gets a very valid category. Practitioners' appraisal obtained a score of 98.95% in the very good category
