Abstract

The aim of this study was to develop students’ e-worksheet for teaching reading comprehension of narrative text for tenth grade students of SMAN 21 Medan.
This study was carried out using Research and Development (R&D) design from Borg, Gall and Gall (2003) which through six stages; gathering data and information, analyzing the data, developing the worksheet, validating by the experts, revising based on the validation, and the final product. The subject of this study was 22 students of grade X and 1 English teacher of SMAN 21 Medan. The data were gathered by documenting the syllabus, lesson plan, administering the
questionnaires to the students to get students' needs, and interviewing the English teacher. The result of the data gathered showed the need to improve the currently existing worksheet that can attract student interest and motivate them in learning. The result of the total validation by the experts which used validation sheet that include linguistic, process, product and content, layout and technological aspect was 93.2%. With some revision, the worksheets developed were appropriate to be used in learning. The final product was e-worksheet combined with the Live Worksheet platform.
