There were three social factors that used as the main consideration in moi – yan Hakka language, namely relative power, social distance and rank of imposition. The reason why the two types of strategies request were considered as polite by moi-yan Hak – ka language because with direct request in mood derivable the speaker could convey the request directly and clear on the hearer, and should be applied with polite words and kinship form. Whereas conventionally indirect request in query preparatory, the speaker requested about the hearer’s ability to do something by using polite question tag and kinship form as well.
