Abstract
This study aims to find out the students learning difficulties from the cognitive, indicator and factors aspect in students learning difficulties on virus topic in grade X MIA SMA Negeri 8 Medan academic year 2020/2021. The type of research is descriptive. Sample in this study consist of 72 people. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling technique. The high level difficulty on cognitive aspects found in C6 (creation) with pecentage 81.3% while the lowest level difficulty on cognitive aspects found in C4 (analysis) with pecentage 35.6%. Indicators aspect, the high level on difficulty found in the indicator explain the role of the virus to the advantage and a disadvantage with pecentage 77.78%, while the lowest level of learning difficulty is found in the indicator identify the characteristics of the virus with pecentage 45.28%. On the questionnaires, the highest indicator of factors causing students learning difficulties found in school environment with percentage 70.75% while the lowest indicator of factors causing students learning difficulties found in physic with percentage 59.84%.
