Abstract
This study aims to develop high school coursebook’s content on Immune system topic using scientific approach, the coursebook as media that improve teaching and learning process. This research conducted in State University of Medan, Department of Biology as the place for the develop the coursebook that, and SMA N 1 Berastagi for teacher assessment and student responses. The development of coursebook is carried out with 4D model that limited up to develop stage. Coursebook eligibility conducted by validation there are three experts, material expert, learning and curriculum expert, and design expert and teacher assessment with students response. The result from validation that Material expert is 85% in “Very sufficient” category. The result from validation that Curriculum and learning expert is 93.3% in “Very sufficient” category. The result from validation that design expert is 80% in “Very sufficient” category. The result of teacher validation is 90% in “very sufficient” and students response 83.29% in “Good” category. The coursebook feasible to used in teaching in learning process.
