Abstract

The problem in this researched was low student learning outcomes. The
purpose of this research was to determined; the effect of learning Make a Match
and Quiz Team model against student learning outcomes. In addition, to find out
whether the Make a Match model is higher than the Quiz Team Model in SMK
Negeri 4 Medan, School Year 2017/2018.
This research uses experimental method. The population in this study
was all students of grade XI AV which amounted to 234 people. The sample in
this research was grade X AV-1 (Experiment I) which amounted to 30 people and
X AV-2 (Experiment II) which amounted to 30 people. The sample technique
used was Probability Sampling. The research instrument used to collect the data
was the multiple choice of 20 multiple choice test of 25 multiple choice questions
that have been tested for validity with 5 answer choices. Technique data was
normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis test to take of the conclusion.
The result of data analysis shows that the average value of experiment
grade I was 83.17 with standard deviation of 8.46. While the average value of the
experimental grade II was 79.33 with the standard deviation of 8.88. Hypothesis
testing was done by using t-test with dk = n1 + n2 -2 at a significant level of 95%.
From the hypothesis calculation obtained tcount of 1.846 and ttable of 1.671. The
result of hypothesis testing shows that tcount>ttable (1,846>1,671) hence hypothesis
accepted.
These researched it can be concluded that learning outcomes by using
learning model Make a Match is higher with the percentage increase in learning
outcomes by 50.70% than the learning outcomes by using Quiz Team model with
the percentage increase in learning outcomes of 48.73% in the Grade XI SMK
Negeri 4 Medan, School Year 2017/2018.
