PENGARUH METODE SOCRATIC CIRCLES DISERTAI MEDIA GAMBAR TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA DI KELAS XI IPA SMA NEGERI 1 BINJAI PADA MATERI SISTEM EKSKRESI MANUSIA T.P. 2017/2018

This research was aimed to find out the effect of socratic circles method with image media on student’s critical thinking skills of students in class XI IPA SMAN 1 Binjai on the topic of human excretion system. This research is a quasi experimental research and conducted in class XI IPA SMAN 1 Binjai, using pretest-postest control group design. The research sample was obtained by random sampling technique. The sample consisted of two classes, XI IPA 6 as experimental class and XI IPS 7 as control class. In this research, experimental class taught by socratic circles method with image media and control class taught by discussion method. The result showed that score of student’s critical thinking skills of experimental class is 79,34 (SD= 54.45) and score of control class is 65,83 (SD= 71,07). Thus, it can be concluded that there is effect of socratic circles method with images media on critical thinking skills of students inclass XI IPA SMAN 1 Binjai on the topichuman excretion system in learning 2017/2018
