Abstract

The aimed of this study were to know the effect of cooperative learning model of two stay two stray to the biology learning achievement and biology interest on cardiovascular system topic. This research was conducted in MAN Kabanjahe academic year 2017/2018. The method used in this study is quasi-experimental methods. Samples were students of class XI MIA 1 as control class use direct learning model, while the students of class XI MIA 2 as an experimental class use Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) model in MAN Kabanjahe. Students’ biology interest were measured by using biology interest questionnaire, while learning outcomes were measured by using multiple choice test. The data were analyzed by SPSS ver.24 for windows. The hypothesis test result showed that TSTS had significantly effect students’ learning outcome in experiment class compared to the students in control class which taught using direct learning model, where t = 4.258 at significance is 0.000. Meanwhile, the hypothesis test for biology interest showed that t = 0.521 with significance level is 0.604, it means there is no significant effect of students’ biology interest that taught by TSTS and direct learning model.
