Abstract
This study aims to explore the students’ learning difficulties in Structure and Function of Plant Tissue learning material. The evaluation is conducted based on the cognitive aspects of the study from ranging from the Low Order Thinking until High Order Thinking. The learning indicator aspects and the factors affecting learning difficulties were also evaluated. The study is a descriptive research design and is used to explain the level of students’ difficulties. The sample of the study is 109 students (70%) and was chosen purposively. The instruments used to obtain data were multiple choice test and questionnaires were used to obtain data and the data shows: (1) The cognitive aspects are ranging from moderate to high level and the highest percentage is on C6 level (70,19%), (2) The learning indicator aspects shows that the 4th indicator (comparing the cell structure of plant tissue on figure) 74,77%, (3) The learning material is the dominant factor affect the students’ learning difficulties (86,69%).
