PENGARUH PERHATIAN ORANG TUA DAN MINAT BELAJAR TERHADAP PRESTASI BELAJAR EKONOMI SISWA KELAS IX IPS SMA SWASTA TRI SAKTI TAHUN AJARAN 2016\2017

The problem of this study is the low student achievement. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of parents' attention and interest in learning on student achievement on economic subjects class XI IPS Private High
School Tri Sakti Medan T.A 2016/2017. This research is conducted in Private High School Tri Sakti Medan. The population in this study were all students of class XI IPS which amounted to 40 people and the sample amounted to 40 people by using totally sampling. Instruments used to measure the attention of parents and interest in learning in the
form of questionnaires 25 questions untu each variable and document studies for student achievement. Test validity tested by product moment correlation. Reliable test in test with alpha cronbach. Then the data is analyzed with multiple linear
regression formula. Furthermore, to test the hypothesis in t test persial and simultaneously used the test f. After the validity test the variables X1 and X2 are done with each of the
25 resulted instrument variables to X1 all valid items and for X2 all valid items. And the results of the questionnaire reliability test obtained 0.922> 0.312 (r11> r table) for the attention of parents and 0.907> 0.312 (r11> r table) for the interest of learning. Results of multiple linear regression analysis obtained linear equations Y = 27,951 + 0,256X1 + 0,399X2 + e. Persials showed that there was an attention of parents to the achievement of study 3,463 (34,62%) and there was influence of learning interest to learning achievement equal to 3,253 (32,53%) and f test obtained f count equal to 22,264 while f table 3,26 means f arithmetic> f table (22.264> 3.26) then hypothesis H3 accepted or there is a positive influence between the attention of parents and interest in learning on economic achievement of students class XI IPS Private High School Tri Sakti Medan TA 2016/2017.
