Abstract
The purpose of conducting this research was find out the types of dominant learning styles in reading comprehension and to find out the process of reading comprehension of the students. The data of the research was collected from the eleventh grade students of SMK NEGERI 13 MEDAN at Accounting Department in academic year 2018/2019. The Subject of this research are 34 Students. This research was conducted by descriptive qualitative method. In this case, the reseacher collected the data by using learning styles questionnaire and interview. The result showed that Kinesthetic learning style is the most dominant learning styles at the eleventh grade students of SMK NEGERI 13 MEDAN at Accounting Department, the percentage was 41.18%, it means 14 from 34 students refers to kinesthetics. The second was auditory learning style, score 29.41%, means that 10 from 34 students refers to auditory,and the score 29.41% means that only 10 students refers to visual. There are different processes of reading comprehension of students. The Visual learner refers to Bottom-up Process in reading comprehesion. The Auditory learner refers to Top-DownProcess in reading comprehesion, and The kinesthetic learner refers to Interactive Process in reading comprehension.
