MENINGKATKAN PERILAKU EMPATI SISWA MELALUI LAYANAN BIMBINGAN KELOMPOK TEKNIK DISKUSI PADA SISWA KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 2 KERAJAAN T.A 2017/2018

The problem in this study is whether the provision of guidance services group discussion techniques can improve the empathy behavior of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Kerajaan T.A 2017/2018. To obtain data in this study, researchers conducted data collection through observation and questionnaires. The type of this research is Counseling Guidance Action Research consisting of 2 cycles, cycle I and cycle II each have 2 times meeting. In each cycle the researcher did an immediate assessment and the questionnaire dispersion. The purpose of this research is to improve student empathy behavior through counseling service of sociodrama technique group in grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Kerajaan T.A 2017-2018. Based on the results of questionnaire analysis before the action was obtained, 12 students with 8 people who had the lowest empathy behavior and 4 people who had empathy behavior in the category good enough, so the initial percentage in 1 group is still 0% because no one is in good category. From the results of data analysis on the first cycle after the action was obtained 4 students who experienced empathy behavior increase so that the percentage of success reached 33.3%, it is seen from the results of questionnaire analysis and observation. In the second cycle there was a significant increase in student empathy behavior that is 83.3% because it was obtained by 10 students whose empathy behavior was in good category. Although there are still 2 students (16.7%) categorized as 'enough', but the service success rate has met the target of above 75%. Thus it can be concluded that students' empathy behavior can be improved through the guidance services group discussion technique on the students of class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Kerajaan T.A 2017-2018. It is recommended that the guidance service of this discussion group of techniques is used by BK teachers in SMP Negeri 2 Kerajaan in order to improve students' empathy behavior in school.
