Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in learning outcomes, mastery learning, achievement indicators of students and students with learning model activities Student Team Achievement Divission (STAD) and Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) in the classification of living things matter in class X SMA Negeri 1 Kingdom of learning year 2014 / 2015. This research is experimental. Where the study population is the entire class X SMA Negeri 1 Empire amounted to 76 students and samples taken by total sampling (whole sample). Where class X-1 as an experimental class given by the model learning Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) by the number 38 and the class X-2 as the experimental class given by the model learning Student Team Achievement Divission (STAD) with the number 38, so the number of sample of 76 people. The tools used for data collection is a test in the form of multiple choice questions which consists of 30 items and observation sheet. The results showed that the average student learning outcomes in grade TAI much as 74.68 while for class STAD at 80.36. Student mastery level in TAI with ≥ 65% absorption reached 92.1% while the STAD class reaches 100%. With both classical completeness class reaches 100%. Learning activities of students at grade STAD more active than TAI class. The big difference between the results of student learning cooperative learning model Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) with Student Team Achievement Divission (STAD) proved through hypothesis testing using t-test and the confidence level α = 0.05, where t count> t table (3.909> 1.996 ), which means that in this study, the Ha accepted and H0 is rejected, which means that there is a significant difference between the results of student learning using cooperative learning model Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) with student Team Achievement Divission (STAD) in Living beings Classification material in class X SMA Negeri 1 Kerajaan.
