Abstract

This study aims to analyze of Elicitation of Male and Female Teacher on
Speaking Skill in English Classroom Interaction. A descriptive qualitative design
used in this study. The data were collected for one meeting/30minutes. Ther were
one male and two female teacher in SMPN 3 Kisaran. The data analyzed by Tsui’s
of Elicitation. This study found that were two types of Elicitation namely,
Elicitation inform; Male (21,4%), Female Teacher 1 (42,8%), Female Teacher 2
(35,7%), Elicitation Clarify; Male teacher (50%), Female teacher 1 (25%), and
Female teacher 2 (25%). The most dominant Elicitation is Elicitation clarify
produced by Male Teacher and Male and Female Teachers using facial expression
and body language when do the teaching learning process because its very
benefecia for teaching learning process it can provide students clues so that they
will be easier to find a provide responses and makes teaching learning process
more interesting.
