Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Sejauh mana pencapaian siswa terhadap standar kompetensi yang ditetapkan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran ilmu pengetahuan sosial terpadu dan (2) Untuk mengetahui tingkat keefektifan proses pembelajaran ilmu pengetahuan sosial terpadu dilihat berdasarkan indikator aktivitas siswa, kemampuan guru mengelola pembelajaran, dan respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran.Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah Siswa Kelas IV SD Swasta GKPS Medan Tahun Ajaran 2010/2011 yang berjumlah 30 orang. Untuk mendapatkan data yang benar dan akurat dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes, lembar observasi, dan angket. Tes digunakan untuk mendapatkan data tentang pencapaian standar kompetensi IPS siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran. Lembar observasi digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data tentang kemampuan guru mengelola pembelajaran dan aktivitas siswa selama pembelajaran, sedangkan angket digunakan untuk memperoleh data tentang respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran terpadu.Hasil analisis data diperoleh: (1) siswa yang telah mampu menguasai standar kompetensi sebanyak 26 orang (86,67%) sedangkan yang belum mampu menguasai standar kompetensi sebanyak 4 orang (13,33%), (2) rata-rata kemampuan guru mengelola pembelajaran adalah 3,59 dengan kategori sangat baik, (3) rata-rata persentase aktivitas siswa berada pada batasan interval keefektifan, dan (4) seluruh indikator keefektifan respon siswa berada di atas 80%. Dari hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran ilmu pengetahuan sosial terpadu memampukan siswa menguasai standar kompetensi yang ditetapkan, dan proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan berlangsung efektif.
