Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan dan mendeskripsikan: 1) validitas perangkat pembelajaran berorientasi pembelajaran berbasis masalah yang dikembangkan; 2) kepraktisan perangkat pembelajaran berorientasi pembelajaran berbasis masalah yang dikembangkan; 3) efektivitas perangkat pembelajaran berorientasi pembelajaran berbasis masalah yang dikembangkan; 4) peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa SMA Negeri 1 Kualuh Selatan dengan menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran berorientasi pembelajaran berbasis masalah yang dikembangkan; 5) peningkatan kemandirian belajar siswa SMA Negeri 1 Kualuh Selatan dengan menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran berorientasi pembelajaran berbasis masalah yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model pengembangan Thiagarajan 4-D yang terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu pendefinisian, perancangan, pengembangan, dan penyebaran. Hasil tahap pendefinisian digunakan untuk merancang perangkat pembelajaran. Selanjutnya draf hasil rancangan divalidasi dan diuji coba ke lapangan untuk melihat kepraktisan dan efektivitasnya. Uji coba dilakukan pada siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Kualuh Selatan. Uji coba I di kelas X-2 dan uji coba II di kelas X-3. Dari hasil uji coba ini diperoleh bahwa: (1) Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan valid dengan rata-rata total validitas RPP = 4,60, buku siswa = 4,45, buku guru = 4,47, LKS = 4,52, tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah dalam kategori cukup valid dan valid dengan reliabilitas sebesar 0,910, serta angket kemandirian belajar dalam kategori valid dan cukup valid dengan reliabilitas sebesar 0,970 ; (2) perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria praktis, ditinjau dari a) penilaian guru pada kategori sangat mudah dilaksanakan; b) penilaian siswa pada kategori sangat mudah dilaksanakan; dan c) tingkat keterlaksanaan pembelajaran berada pada kategori sangat baik; (3) perangkat pembelajaran memenuhi kriteria efektif, ditinjau dari a) ketuntasan belajar individu dan klasikal siswa terpenuhi; b) aktivitas siswa dalam batas toleransi yang ditetapkan, dan c) respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran positif; (4) rata-rata peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa dari uji coba I ke uji coba II adalah 0,29 poin dengan peningkatan ketuntasan belajar secara klasikal sebesar 15,12%; dan (5) rata-rata peningkatan kemandirian belajar siswa dari uji coba I ke uji coba II adalah 1,94 poin.
