Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa
melalui penggunaan model Discovery Learning dan Problem Based Learning di
Kelas X SMA Negeri 14 Medan T.P 2015/2016. Sampel dalam penelitian ini
terdiri dari 2 kelas (69 orang) yang diambil dengan random sampling dari 9 kelas
yang ada. Hasil belajar siswa diukur berdasarkan aspek kognitif. Dari hasil
analisis diperoleh nilai rata-rata pada kelas yang diajar menggunakan Discovery
Learning sebesar 78,66 9,22, sedangkan nilai rata-rata pada kelas yang diajar
menggunakan Problem Based Learning sebesar 73,66 8,88. Uji hipotesis
menunjukan ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara Discovery Learning dengan
Problem Based Learning pada sub materi pokok ekosistem di kelas X SMA
Negeri 14 Medan T.P 2015/2016 pada 0,05.
