Developing Wordwall For Teaching Writing Of Descriptive Text For English As A Foreign Language Junior High School Students

The aim of this study was to develop a Wordwall-based digital learning media for
teaching writing descriptive text to seventh-grade students at SMPN 13 Medan.
This study used the Research and Development (R&D) design adapted from Borg
and Gall (2003), consisting of six stages. The subjects were 30 seventh-grade
students and one English teacher. Data were collected through questionnaires,
interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings showed that the
Wordwall-based digital learning media was successfully developed based on the
results of the needs analysis and expert validation. The developed media obtained
an overall validation score of 81%, which was categorized as Excellent, indicating
that it was appropriate for use in the teaching and learning process. After being
revised based on the experts' suggestions, the final product consisted of interactive
Wordwall activities designed to support students in learning and practicing
descriptive text writing. The final product was a Wordwall-based digital learning
