Abstract
This study aims to determine the significant effect of the discovery learning model using Genially interactive media on students' HOTS science literacy skills in chemical bonding in grade 10 of SMA Negeri 2 Percut Sei Tuan. This research uses random sampling technique. The study involved an experimental group of 30 students. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests given before and after treatment to measure students' HOTS science literacy skills. Data analysis included normality test, aired sample t-test; right tail t-test, and N-Gain test. The pre-test average was 34.4, while the post-test average was 59.8, indicating a higher post-test average. The paired sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.002 (<0.05), indicating that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted, indicating a significant effect of the discovery learning model using Genially interactive media in improving students' HOTS science literacy skills. The N-Gain value of 0.34 also indicates that the treatment's effectiveness in improving students' HOTS science literacy in chemical bonding is moderate. In conclusion, the use of the discovery learning model with Genially interactive media can effectively improve students' HOTS science literacy skills.
