Abstract
This study focused on the use of Wordwall website as a students‘ worksheet in reading recount texts for eighth-grade students at SMP N 3 Sitiotio. The objectives of the study were to: (1) find out the benefits of using Wordwall
website for this purpose and (2) investigate the teacher‘s procedures in utilizing the platform. Employing qualitative methods, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, with analysis following the three-step technique by Miles and Huberman (1994). The findings show that: 1) there were seven benefits were identified from using the Wordwall website as a students‘
worksheet for reading recount text: (a) easy to access, (b) flexible sharing, (c) user-friendly, (d) able offline access, (e) enhanced learning, (f) saving time for
teacher, (g) can be shared with the Wordwall community. 2) There were eight procedures followed by the teacher to create students‘ worksheet using the Wordwall website were (1) open the Wordwall website first (https://wordwall.net), (2) log in, (3) select ―create activity‖, (4) input questions and key answers, (5) click ―done‖ button, (6) adjust ―options‖, (7) click ―apply to this activity‖ button, then (8) share the activity to the students.
