Abstract

Classroom management is a term used by english teachers in managing and controlling the teaching and learning process in the classroom to ensure the teaching and learning process runs well without any interference from students. The researcher found two problems, how is the classroom management used by English teachers and why do they apply the classroom management. The objectives were to describe how the classroom management applied in teaching english and to describe why classroom management used by english teachers. Researcher used qualitative research. The subject was a English teachers who already have 3 years experience in teaching English. Data was collected through observation, interview and documentation. The observation use wih field notes to know activities in the classroom, while the interview used to know the component of classroom management that used and to know the reason why teachers apllied classroom managemen, and the documentation was used to take
some photos systematically and factually. The findings show that classroom management was devided into five components, by Garret (2014) and there are four factors underlying the teachers application of classroom management, by Dunkin and Biddle (1974). Teachers have a reason why they use classroom
management in teaching learning process.
