Abstract
This research focuses on developing digital worksheets for teaching speaking skills related to transactional and interpersonal texts to Grade VIII students at SMPN 1 Siempat Nempu Hulu. The objective of this study is to develop digital speaking worksheets for eighth-grade junior high school students in their first-semester learning. The worksheets were designed based on students' needs in transactional and interpersonal texts using the Quizizz platform.The participants of this research were 29 students from Class VIII C at SMPN 1 Siempat Nempu Hulu. The study employed the Research and Development (R&D) model proposed by Borg and Gall (1983), which was simplified into six steps: 1) research and information collection, 2) planning, 3) product development, 4) expert evaluation, 5) product revision, and 6) final product. The evaluation and product development process utilized questionnaires distributed to two validators. Based on the validators’ assessments, the developed digital worksheet for teaching speaking skills on transactional and interpersonal texts using the Quizizz application was deemed valid, as it received a score of 92.45%, which falls into the "very good" category according to the Likert scale. The worksheets were also considered suitable for use with Grade VIII students at SMPN 1 Siempat Nempu Hulu, as the school provides the necessary facilities to support digital learning.
