Abstract
The aim of this study was to develop students’ worksheet for teaching reading descriptive text for tenth grade students of SMKN 1 Pantai Cermin. This study was carried out using Research and Development (R&D) design from Borg, Gall and Gall (2003) which through six stages; gathering data and information,analyzing the data, developing the worksheet, validating by the experts, revising based on the validation, and the final product. The subject of this study was 23
students of grade X and 1 English teacher of SMKN 1 Pantai Cermin. The data were gathered by documenting the module, administering the questionnaires to the students to get students' needs, and interviewing the English teacher. The
result of the data gathered showed the need to improve the currently existing worksheet that can attrac student interest and motivate them in learning. The result of the total validation by the experts which used validation sheet that include linguistic, process, product and content,layout and technological aspect was 92.6%. With some revisions, the worksheets developed were appropriate to be used in learning. The final product was worksheet combined with the Hot Potatoes application.
