LANGUAGE STYLE IN AL FATHAN’S TIKTOK VIDEOS

This study focuses on the morphological process of colloquial style in Al Fathan’s TikTok videos. This study aims to (1) investigate the types of morphological process on colloquial language style in Al Fathan’s TikTok videos. (2) to explain the reason for the existency of dominant types of morphological process in Al Fathan’s TikTok videos. This study is using qualitative method that focused on content analysis design. The data source used in this study is taken from Al Fathan’s TikTok videos. The findings show that there were nine types of morphological process on the colloquial language style used in Al Fathan’s TikTok videos. They were coinage 7 words (7,77%), Borrowing 33 words (36,66%), Compounding 3 words (3,33%), Blending 5 words (5,55%), Clipping 16 words (17,77%), Back formation 2 words (2,22%), Derivation 2 words (2,22%), Acronyms 8 words (8,88%), And multiple process 14 words (15,55%). From nine types of morphological process on colloquial language style Al Fathan dominantly used borrowing types. The reason why Al Fathan dominantly used borrowing types of morphological process in colloquial language style in his TikTok videos, were influenced by the need for language use and it suitable for the context of the situation with Al Fathan as the user.
