Taboo Words in Army of The Dead Movie Script

The taboo words in the army of the dead movie script are discussed in this research. This research aims to identify the types of taboo words and the motives for using taboo words in the army of the dead movie script. The research uses the theory of Jay (2009). The research was conducted using descriptive qualitative methodology. The types and motives for using taboo words are the main topics of
this research. The findings of the research were taken from utterances containing taboo words spoken by the characters in army of the dead movie script. In this movie, 103 taboo words are uttered, eight of the nine categories of taboo words and five of the five motives of taboo words. The findings indicate that Epithet is the sort of taboo word that characters use the most often (33,01%), while Angry
and Frustration are the most often expressed motives (37,87%).
