DEVELOPING RECOUNT TEXT TEACHING MATERIAL BASED ON LITERACY AND NUMERACY AT SMKN 1 BERINGIN

This research aims to develop teaching material based on literacy and numeracy.
The research was conducted based on educational research and development
(R&D) from Borg and Gall's (2003) theory consisting; of gathering information
and data, analyzing the data, designing the product, validating the product,
revising, and final product. The data was taken from observing the syllabus and
the existing material used by the teacher, distributing a questionnaire for 32
students of SMKN 1 Beringin, a questionnaire for the validator, and interviewing
one English Teacher. The product of this study is a set of writing materials
entitled "The Rise Experience Tourism" that consists of 2 units. The materials for
each unit were designed following the students' needs. The final score of validated
the product was 3.70 from Expert 1 and 4.00 from Expert 2, which was 3.50 < χ ≤
4.00. The score indicates that the developed material was considered "Very Good"
by the predicate.
