Abstract
This study aims to analyze the teachers’ and students’ perceptions on English textbook Bahasa Inggris kelas XI at SMAN 11 Medan. This research was conducted by using descriptive qualitative design. This study aims to analyze the teachers’ and students’ perceptions on English textbook Bahasa Inggris kelas XI at SMAN 11 Medan. This research was conducted by using a descriptive qualitative design in order to know teachers' and students' perceptions on English textbook by sharing questionnaires and conducting interviews. The result showed that the combined the median percentages of both perceptions between teachers' and students' perceptions regarding Authenticity is 98.22%. The appropriacy aspect received a percentage of 74.28%, learner-centeredness received 87.15%, Engaging and motivation received 93.55%, Interactive received 93.55%, Flexible and adaptable received 72.12%, clear and concise received 83.57%, Comprehensive and balanced received 93.55%, and empowering received 93.3%. These percentages reflect the overall positive evaluation of the textbook in relation to these qualities.
