DEVELOPING ELECTRONIC WORKSHEET BASED ON WIZER.ME IN TEACHING WRITING

The attempt of this study was to develop electronic worksheet based on Wizer.me in teaching writing descriptive text through scientific approach at seventh grade SMPS Sinar Husni Medan. Research and Development (R&D) design was used in this study through six stages; gathering data and information, analyzing data, designing worksheet, validating by experts, revising and final product. The subject of the study was seventh grade students of SMPS Sinar Husni. Administering interview to English teacher and distributing questionnaire to 25 respondents to get the students’ need were gathered as the data. The interview and questionnaire result stated that students need English electronic worksheet in teaching writing which can lead and stimulate students’ ability and develop creativity process through logically, looking for and guessing. Using electronic worksheet in teaching and learning process may helps students to comprehend the material by themselves. The electronic worksheet has been validated by experts with interval was 4.5. The product was categorized as “Very Good” electronic worksheet of descriptive text. Electronic worksheet based on Wizer.me was a set of research product, it contained 5 parts of Scientific Approach and every part has 3-5 tasks that covered the learning needs. It also has topics that is going to be done by the students in the first page of every part of the worksheet.
