Abstract
This research aims to know: (1) How to implement LKS based STEM could be implemented in learning biology of level in SMA Negeri Class XI MIA at Samosir District; (2) The effect of application LKS based STEM toward students learning interest; (3) The effect of application LKS based STEM toward students learning motivation; (4) The effect of application LKS based STEM toward students learning creativity; and (5) The effect of application LKS based STEM toward students learning outcome. Study method using Quasi experiment with qualitative approach and sample of study as much as two group wich determined with purposive sampling technique. The class XIA learned with experiment class and clas XIB as control class. The study instrument using questionnaire interest, motivation, creativity and test of learning outcome in multiple choice. Data using analysis techniques is independent sample t test of the level significant α = 0,05 with using SPSS 23 application. The study research show that: (1) The application LKS based STEM In the learning biology is one of the good part to impact toward interest, motivation, creativity and students learning outcome; (2) Learning interest with using LKS based STEM (79,55±9,396) higher than conventional learning (76,98±14,433); (3) Learning motivation with using LKS based STEM (80,45±6,704) higher than conventional learning (75,01±9,068); (4) Learning creativity with using LKS based STEM (71,52±9,668) higher than conventional learning (70,95±10,578); and (5) Learning outcome with using LKS based STEM (67,85±12,098) higher than conventional learning (52,01±19,001). As a follow-up to the research is expected for teachers to applying LKS based STEM in learning Biology to increase interest, motivation, creativity and students learning outcome.
