Abstract
The classroom action research conducted in private senior high school, SMA Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru is purposed to improve the teaching-learning process (students' evaluation result). In the action result also mention that the audio visual media (Video-CD) has predominant role in teaching and learning process. The fact shows not only most student having motivation by watching in learning a new one but also increase their evaluation results. The topic lesson applied to the research is Perubahan Materi (The changing matters). The students'average score by empowering VCD in teaching-learning process is around 74.23 and the student's mastery learning 71.16 (%). Meanwhile, student's average score by without VCD is 62.20 and the students' mastery learning 45.30 (%). The increasing evaluation result is 22.9 (%). The interesting VCD program is indicated by 3.95 (scale 5) reflects that most students be exited. By empowering the audio visual (Chemistry VCD) program, the enthusiasm becomes higher and the students evaluation results becomes higher also.
