Abstract

This study aims to determine data and information about the social competence of teachers in SD Negeri Gugus 40, Onan Runggu District, Samosir Regency amid of the covid-19 pandemic T.A 2020/2021. This research is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all teachers who taught at SD Negeri Gugus 40, Onan Runggu District, Samosir Regency, Academic Year 2020/2021. The sample used in this study was the entire population, amounting to 30 teachers consisting of 9 teachers at SDN 8 Pardomuan, 9 teachers at SDN 9 Pardomuan, 5 teachers at SDN 10 Huta Hotang, 7 teachers at SDN 14 Huta Hotang. . The data collection techniques used were questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique used is quantitative data analysis - descriptive which is then interpreted into a percentage. The results of this study indicate that the social competence of teachers in SD Negeri Gugus 40, Onan Runggu District, Samosir Regency amid of the Covid-19 Pandemic is in the good category with an average of 3.13. This result was obtained based on the Communication Skills indicator of 3.04 which was included in the good category, the indicator of being sympathetic was 3.10 which was included in the good category, the indicator of being able to cooperate was 3.09 which was included in the good category, the indicator of being good at socializing was 3.25 which was included in the category. well, the indicator of Understanding the World Around 3.18 is in the good category. The percentage of respondents who had a very good primary school teacher social competence score was 33%, a good elementary school teacher social competency score was 67%, the elementary school teacher social competence score was quite good and it was not good enough was 0%. Through this research, it is hoped that elementary school teachers can continue to maintain and continue to improve the social competence of teachers in order to help improve the quality of education properly.
