Abstract
This research deals with intertextuality on brochure of education. Brochure education as an object in the research. The researcher focused on education advertisement in brochure. The preliminary data in this research is intertextuality in brochure advertisement of education. The preliminary data as their literature reference to gain the interest of the targetted readers as the basically and contextually relevant literatures. Its objectives are to discover types and functions of intertextuality in the articles. The results of the research reveal there are three types and one function of intertextuality in the adverttisment brochures of education. The typeswhich are dominantly applied are allusion, direct quatation and indirect quotation. The function which is dominantly applied is to explain sentence in detail. The social practice found in the articles is that the function of intertextuality is to create an image that the articles possess a level of academic text. This research shows three major types of intertextuality briefly which possibly emerge in Indonesian texts. Those are transtextuality, metatextuality and pseudo-textuality.
