Abstract

Lexical Creation is study about language which
focuses on the process in creating the new word by which
lexical item appears among the language users. The purpose
of this study is to investigate the lexical creation in Iis Dahlias
slang words in mamaku hits. The objective of the research is to
find out the types of lexical creation used by Iis Dahlia. The
subject of this research is Iis Dahlia as the presenter in Mamaku
Hits. The utterances of Iis Dahlia in Word or phrases were the
data of this research. Descriptive qualitative method was used in
this research. the instrument of this research was observation.
the types of lexical creation were analyzed by using theory of
Yule (1995). This research found nine types of lexical creation.
the types were conversion, acronym, blending, coinage,
borrowing, derivation, echoism, multiple process, reduplication.
