Abstract
This research investigates interpersonal metaphor used in
the Boss Baby movie based on Systemic Functional Linguistics approach. The objectives of the study are to identify what elements of interpersonal metaphor that Boss Baby used in movie. The research was conducted by using qualitative design. The data of this study were the utterances from two animators in The Boss Baby movie. The data were collected through documentary technique. The result of this study revealed that: There are six
elements of interpersonal metaphor found in Tim and the Baby utterances in The Boss Baby movie, namely metaphor of mood, modality, epithet, euphemism, connotation and mental process. The researcher applied the six elements of interpersonal metaphor proposed by Hallidays and Saragih. The researcher wanted the other researcher to understand the used of each elements of interpersonal metaphor used in the Boss Baby movie . This
