Abstract

Spiritual values are positive values that are integrated in the chemistry learning material that is used as a means to foster the good character of the learner into order to get into someone who has noble character and piety to God Almighty. This study aims to determine whether there are differences in student learning outcomes that use chemistry learning materials integrated spiritual values with high school chemistry handbooks students through Discovery Learning models on salt hydrolysis materials. The population of this study is the students of SMA N 1 Rantau Selatan IPA in grade XI are 182 students with 5 classes. The sample is taken using purposive sampling consisting of 2 classes, the research instrument in the form of an objective test of 20 valid and reliable questions, and a questionnaire and observation sheet on spiritual attitudes. Data analysis techniques were carried out by tests of Normality, Homogeneity, Independent Sample T-Test and Correlation on the SPSS 20 for Windows program with a significance level of α (0.05). The result show there are significant differences in student learning outcomes between those taught using chemical teaching and integrated spiritual values and learning outcomes taught using the student handbook. It also teaches spiritual values that have been developed to develop spiritual values in students. and there is a correlation between the spiritual values of the improvement of student learning outcomes which are taught with the instructional materials we integrated spiritual values.
