The problem of this research is whether any influence of giving group guidance services to career planning in VIII grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Bandar Khalifah Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai T.A 2018/2019. This research aimed to determine whether any influence of giving group guidance services to career planning in VIII grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Bandar Khalifah Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai T.A 2018/2019. This research was held on July – September 2018. This research was a quatitative research with quasi experimental design and pre test – post test one group design. The population wasall the VIII students. The sampling technique was purposive sampling with 10 students from VIII-3, VIII-4, VIII-5, and VIII-6. The data research was collected by career planning questionnaire with 99 items that has been
valid and reliable using Wilcoxon test. Based on the testing result J count = 15 > J table = 8 with  = 0,05 and N=10, it means that the hypothesis is accepted. Pre-test data obtained an average score 188,3, and post-test data obtained an average score 315,2. It means that, an average student score after giving a group guidance services is increased with 67% contribution to career planning in VIII grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Bandar Khalifah Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai T.A 2018/2019.
