Abstract
This study concerns on how summative test is developed based on revised Bloom’s taxonomy for seventh grade students. This study was conducted by using Research and Development (R&D) design through seven stages; defining the construct to be measured, defining the target popoulation, reviewing related
theories, developing the prototype, evaluating the prototype, revising, and collecting data on validity and reliability. The data consist of the existing English
summative test items which were directly collected from the English teacher due to analyze the test to see whether the existing summative test was a good test classroom which consists of subjective and objective test items or not. Based on the data analysis, the existing English summative test only consist of subjective test items. The inappropriate English summative test items were then developed through the addition of 30 numbers of objective test items and 5 subjective test items according to the cognitive level of Bloom’s Taxonomy. The products have
been validated by two experts and the precentage got 90% validity. The products have been tested to 35 students and the result score was calculated by using Kuder-Richardson formula 20 (KR-20) due to get the reliability scores.
