THE EFFECT OF IMPORT AND EXCHANGE RATE RATE ON INVESTMENT OF FOREIGN EXCHANGE INVESTMENT 2001 – 2016

The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of import and exchange rate on foreign direct investment by foreign companies in Nort Sumatra province periode 2001-2016. Based on the time series secondary data and analysis showed that are sgnificant beetwen import and exchange rate to foreign direct investment. The finding research can be support to government and investor decision to investment in this province. Technique reggression analysis have used in this research with quantitatif approach. The variables import and exchange rate both significant to foreign exchange rate. Limitation of this research is that only have one province as sample. So the recommendations are others researcher make more bigger sample research.
