Abstract

This research intended to recognize how is the impact of the
implementation scientific approach through barrier media to increase long jump
tuck technique learning outcomes to the VIII grade student SMP Swasta Karya
Bunda Percut Sei Tuan Disticts 2016/2017 academic year.
This research was conducted at SMP Swasta Karya Bunda Percut Sei Tuan
Districts 2016/2017. This research was occured since 13 august of 2016 upto 20
august 2016 and done during two weeks. The subject of this research is the
implementation of scientific approach through barrier media, while the object of
the research is the entire student at VIII-2 grade of SMP Swasta Karya Bunda
Percut Sei Tuan Districts, whereas the class is the grade with the lowest classical
learning mastery.
The research method used in this research is classroom action research
which divided by cycleI and cycle II. To obtained data in this research the
researcher need to apply the post test cycle I and post test cycle II that formed the
long jump tuck technique material for two times.
After the data collecting had already done, so the researcher was going to
analyze :(1) in initial condition 9 students (33,3%) completed the test, while 18
students did not complete (66,77%) the average is 48,85%. Afterwords the
researcher got to implement the scientific approach through barrier media during
the lesson. (2). According to the post test in cycle I the data obtainedfollowing by
17 students completed the test (62,97%) and the number of student who did not
complete the test is 10 students (27,03%) while the average is 71,75%. Though
the improvement of the students exist but classical learning mastery is not
completed. Based on he situation the cycle II implementation is necessary. (3).
After the cycle II occured, so the result of post test in cycle II can be reported
following by 24 students completed the test (88,9%) and 3 students did not
complete (11,1%) while the average is 87,5%.
Although there were still students who did not complete the material, but
at least the classical learning mastery had already completed. Beside that from
initial condition, cycle I, upto cycle II the improvement was increased
significantly. Based on the data, finally the reasercher concluded, there is
significance impact of scientific approach through barrier media to increase the
